FROM SEA to SUMMERLEA
SHEILA BURNELL’S From Sea to Summerlea INTRODUCTION The first 20 years of Sheila Burnell's life were spent by the sea at Merewether, a suburb of Newcastle, NSW. She was married at the end of World War 2 and with her husband Reg, began a new life farming at 'Summerlea', Upotipotpon in North East Victoria. Four children, nine grand-children and four great-grand-children later she still lives at 'Summerlea' with her dog, Nora. These poems tell of her journey.
